Can a Homosexual Worship G-d?
Q: I would like to know if a homosexual can also worship G-d. Please reply, as this question weighs heavy.
Thank you,
A: Shalom uvracha.
Every individual can worship G-d. Even if one does not live 100% in the way of G-d and the Torah, he can nonetheless believe in G-d. As his belief in G-d develops, his conviction to observe the Divine commandments will develop and become strengthened. There is nothing that disallows a person to worship the One and Only G-d of Israel.
It must be very clear, however, that the condition that you describe in your letter is definitely forbidden in the Torah. If it is forbidden, this means that this is not a natural condition, as many people believe. A person can be created with a certain tendency, but he is given the power in his soul to overcome his negative inclinations. The above condition is a most negative inclination. By commanding one to overcome this inclination the Torah gives the person that believes in G-d and the Torah the spiritual power to overcome this tendency. He can thereby obtain positive tendency, marry properly as the Torah desires and give birth to good and healthy children.
Wishing you much success in your endeavors to develop your true connection to the Divine.

BREAKING NEWS

Published: June 26, 2007

A man who reported that his infant daughter was having trouble breathing has been charged with beating and kicking her, the Suffolk County police said yesterday. The father, Joshua Cohen, 20, pleaded not guilty yesterday in First District Court in Central Islip at his arraignment on charges of assault and endangering the welfare of a child, prosecutors said. The police said Mr. Cohen became angry on Sunday evening while watching the girl, whose name and age were not released by the police, and knocked her off a bed and kicked her in the head several times. The child was taken to Stony Brook University Medical Center, and was in critical condition yesterday, the police said.

yalhak is our moshe rabbainu - a few cows

I have no right to speak for the editors of Cow who post these things, but being the kind of diarrhea-mouth I am, I will anyway.

It’s my belief that the editors of Cow post these repugnant toires NOT as an endorsement of them, but to demonstrate the kinds of vicious, narrow-minded and EVIL crap in Orthodox rabbinic Judaism that they are trying to overthrow.

If I’m wrong (and I SERIOUSLY doubt that I am) I invite the card-carrying, chaulent fressing Cows — and NOT asshole trolls and other farkakter commenters who come here looking for a fight — to correct me.

Again, it’s my belief that such toires as these, and those of the Rambam on another thread, are posted by the editors of Cow NOT to “endorse” but to CONDEMN them.

I think it’s important that the casual visitor to Cow — whether Jew or Gentile — should understand this.

I won't bother making fun of every line seperately, it's just to easy.
I won't even bother making fun of a poor pathetic alter bocher desperately seeking attention. If the poor freak can actually get people to come to him, they deserve each other.
On the other hand, actions should have consequences, and this particular asshole is long overdue for some bad karma.
I'm hoping some people here will volunteer to be his bad karma.
I don't know if this is legal in the states so I won't recommend it, but people read this all over the world and I'm sure it's legal someplace. Like Lithuania or Zimbabwe. :- )

Do gentiles also customarily have sexual relations with birds?- in the Parasha- בלעם + אתון = רכיבות ביום ואישות בלילה

עבודה זרה ד ע"ב

translation: Bilam fucked his donkey every night.

it would seem that it was Chazal's custom to attribute to gentiles an exaggerated amount of sexual licentiousness, and due to their licentiousness they elevated the Jews. For example, they said "They [the gentiles] prefer the animals of Jews over their own women,"

The Talmudic Chachamim discussed this topic at length, arguing:

if gentiles customarily have sexual relations with animals, why is one permitted to buy an animal from a gentile and bring it as a sacrifice in the Holy Temple? An animal which has been bred is not permitted as a sacrifice upon the altar. They answered this question: gentiles are careful not to have relations with their own animals; the female so they do not make her unable to bear offspring and the male so he does not wither away. But an animal which belongs to a Jew — it would not matter if they caused a Jew's animal to become infertile or to wither away, so the gentile would have sexual relations with a Jew's animal.

The Chachamim continued and asked: If so (if gentiles do not have sexual relations with their own animals because these relations cause damage to the animals, and therefore one may buy their animals for sacrificial purposes), why is one allowed to buy animals from gentile women for sacrificial purposes? The gentile woman is suspect of using the ox, the ram, and the billy goat for sexual purposes (for in this instance there would be no damage to the animal). They answered that even the gentile woman refrains from using her own animals for sexual purposes lest the animal, having enjoyed the sexual contact, pursue the woman and so make it generally known that she has had sexual contact with the animal. Due to shame she refrains from using her animals so. But if it were an animal belonging to a Jew this fear would not exist, for the Jew leaves his animal in her care for only a short while and then takes it back, so the animal would not have the time to pursue the gentile woman. If it is the case that a male will pursue a woman with whom he has had sexual relations, the Chachamim asked why we warn Jewish widows not to stay in houses with male dogs for fear she will make sexual use of the dog. The dog would pursue her and everyone would know how she had used it, and for fear of shame she would refrain and not have sexual contact with a dog. They answered that a dog is different, for the dog's attention to a woman could also be interpreted to be a plea for food and not necessarily for sexual contact. Therefore no woman fears that she would be suspected of having sexual relations with a dog.

The Chachamim went on to ask: Why is one forbidden to hand over a female animal to a gentile woman? When a female has charge of a female there is no suspicion of sexual contact. They answered that we fear a gentile male will visit his gentile female lover to have sexual relations with her, and if he does not find her, he will use the female animal. Even if the gentile female lover is present, sometimes the gentile male will prefer a female animal owned by a Jew over his own gentile female lover. The Chachamim said "They prefer the animals of Jews over their own women."

The Chachamim also asked: what is the rule for birds? Do gentiles also customarily have sexual relations with birds? If so, it would also be forbidden to board birds at a gentile's boarding facility. The Chachamim answered that they do indeed also have sexual relations with birds, and related an incident which once occurred: rav Yehuda said: " i saw A gentile bought a goose in the marketplace, had sexual relations with it, and then choked the bird, killed it, roasted it, and ate it. They also related an incident from rav Yirmiya that he said: " i saw an Arab who bought an animal thigh, cut a hole in it the appropriate size for his sexual organ, penetrated it, and then roasted and ate it.

the Rambam fights back

June 27, 2007 By: Yhosephus Category: Ruckus 4 Comments →

In his introduction to perek chelek Maimonides wrote the following:

The second group is also numerous, and they are those who saw the words of the sages or heard them and understood them in their explicit meaning and thought that the sages meant naught but what they explicitly stated. They come to mock them and to scorn them and they slander that which deserves no slander; they laugh at the words of the sages, whose minds were more pure. And they, the small minded boors, mock reality, and so attain no wisdom in any form.
Most who fail at this trip on the medical wisdom and the errors in calculating astronomy, because they think themselves wise, smart, and sharp, philosophers, but how far they are from those who are truly wise and philosophers. But they mock more than the first group, and are more pathetic.
It is a cursed group, for they respond to people who are greater and more lofty than they, whose wisdom has been proven, while these fools, had they worked at wisdom until they knew what it is appropriate to commit to writing as Divine wisdom, would have said things similar to those the sages said, and they would understand the practical part of philosophy; then they would know whether the sages OBM were wise, and the truth of their words would be clarified.

Do you guys not think that by this he also meant people like those of your fat cow?

philo-Kemitic conspiracy

June 25, 2007 By: hanktherank Category: Ruckus 7 Comments →

I learn new things here all the time.

For instance,on one of the comments on "Frankist confessions" A maaminit named Hagar identifies herself as a "Kemetic pagan." "What's that?" i wondered.

(from about.com)

Kemet
History/Founder: Kemet is a religion of recent but unclear origin. It is an attempt to reconstruct ancient religious practices of Kemet (Egypt), in as much of a pure form as possible. Kemetic belief is Monolatrous- that is, most believe, like the ancients, that there is only one supreme God, who manifests in many aspects as the minor deities.

Current leader/governing body: Varies- many groups have formed and incorporated by consensus, but there is no central organization, and many solitary believers.

Number of Adherents: Unknown.
Clergy: Varies, depending on the group. Many groups use Egyptian models of initiation and prieshoods, usually conforming with particular God and Goddess cults in Egyptian history.

Requirements to join: None, membership is open in most groups to anyone interested, although some require an initiation.

Church/temple: Usually a home setting; a room or building consecrated as a temple.
Scripture: Traditional Egyptian writings, most notably the Book of the Dead.

Required observances, dietary restrictions: Varies according to the practitioner.

Code of Conduct: Varies.

Basic teachings and Beliefs of Kemet: Beliefs and practices vary from group to group, but generally follow known Egyptian practice. The concept of Ma'at, or divine justice (similar to the Eastern philosophy of Karma), is a guiding principle.
Holidays and observances: Varied. Some Kemetic groups follow major Egyptian religious Holidays, while some use a modified Wiccan style wheel of the year. Some groups, especially those that focus on a single deity, will often folow the holidays of that particular deity's historic cult.

Symbols of Kemet:
