The Sabbatean Holocaust
Bovines,
I think this accusation of a "New Sabbatean Holocaust" conspiricy, which is ongoing and all over the internet, is noteworthy (or at least amusing) enough to be posted as a stand-alone piece on 7fc
(btw, donmeh west is prominently mentioned in this piece as part of the "The New Sabbatean Holocaust" it "exposes" — along with John Kerry, both Presidents Bush, John Dean, and a lot of other worthies.)
Apparently I'm thought to be dangerous for more reasons than having two pit bulls — and infamous for a lot of reasons other than hanging out with the cows.

Isnt “Holocaust” a bit too steep of a word?

Yeah. It sure is. But that’s the point. Read the article. That’s what THEY call it, not us.
You didn’t know I was part of a world-wide conspiracy to take over the universe, did you?

For example, here’s an exerpt from the article, written by an Israeli “journalist” named Barry Chamish:
“Now how come, no matter which Democrat you choose, you get a CFR half-Jew who forgot all about it? The answer is found in the Sabbatean (also Shabbataian and similar spellings) policy of having their Jewish apostate followers converting and hiding their roots and beliefs.
“Allow me to quickly summarize Sabbateanism/Frankism.
“In my previous article, The Deutsch Devils, I revealed the findings of Rabbi Antelman in his books To Eliminate The Opiate Volumes I and II. His focus is the false messiah Shabtai Zvi, and the continuation of his evil ministry through the Turkish sect called the Donmeh. In the eighteenth century, Jacob Frank brought the Donmeh ideology to Europe and joined a fateful alliance . . . .For a revealing look at modern American Sabbateanism, visit: Donmeh West - The Neo-Sabbatian Collective of the Internet.”
Read the whole thing, and you’ll understand why I have two killer pit bulls by my side at all times. One of them, Max, has been described by a friend of mine as “a 75 pound muscle with a tail, attached to a set of jaws.”

Now, now. We must be patient with Tzemach. He’s only trying to bring 7fc to the same high level of failure as he did on his own defunct blog.
Tzemach, sweetie, to answer your question: I think the reason this crap is being published here is because although you have no interest in Sabbatianism, there are others on this blog who do — and for them, this story is of interest, even though it may not be for you.

Reb YalHaK,
I’m surprised the erudite conspiracy theorists were able to penetrate your very well-laid diabolical plot, hatched from your world headquarters of total evil in idyllic Big Bear, California (or somewhere up in them thar hills).
However, they’ll never find out that it is really the Chinese fast-food joints all over America and the cardboard box companies that are truly planning to take over the world. I sure hope none of them are reading this.
May G-d continue to bless you.

“California morons think that can read few websites , books. This is indeed a pathetic crap.” — Netzach
Can anyone translate this incoherent jibberish? If it means what I think it does, here’s a geographic distribution of the latest 80 thousand visitors to the Donmeh West website at www.donmeh-west.com (notice that most of our 80 thousand visitors actually come from ISTANBUL, TURKEY rather than Los Angeles, as Tzimis seems to think — but that’s because he’s never actually visited our website, let alone read anything in it. He just knows he’s “agin’ it”):
Istanbul Turkey 5.4%
Los Angeles California 2.8%
Notice that TWICE AS MANY of the 80 thousand visitors to our website come from ISTANBUL, TURKEY (the home of the Sabbatian Ma’aminim) than come from Los Angeles — and many of these thousand of Turkish Ma’aminim are members of Donmeh West who (unlike Tzimis) study our Neo-Sabbatian teachings. In fact, a couple of years back, the Israeli newspaper, Ma’ariv, called us, “the modern-day successor to Sabbatai Zevi.”
But what do they all know compared to the genius of a Tzemach who is so far ahead of his time as to not be noticed by it.

Way back when I worked in the deep back wards of a psych center, there was an old saying.
“You can’t argue with a sick mind”
And I would always add to that, “Indeed one cannot argue with a sick mind, but one can talk to its soul”.
Tzemach, Ummmm this moron is from connecticut.

Following are the results of the latest survey of the 1000 active members of Donmeh West (these are over and above the 80 thousand visitors to our website who express much the same opinions). The results of this poll show that the vast majority of Donmeh-West responders agreed that:
1. Reb Yakov Leib HaKohain is “responsible for reviving interest in Sabbatai Zevi and Sabbatian Kabbalah” (86%)
2. Reb Yakov Leib HaKohain’s Neo-Sabbatian teachings have “changed my life for the better” (82%)
3. Reb Yakov Leib’s Kabbalistic teachings are “far above average” compared to those both on and off the internet. (82%)
Reb Yakov Leib’s Neo-Sabbatian teachings are “my primary spiritual way of life” (75%)
These findings are absolutely consistent with those of previous years in which, again, the vast majority of Donmeh West members responding to the poll agreed with these same statements about our Neo-Sabbatian teachings.
Anyone wanting a full report of these findings need only request it by writing to: manioc63287@mypacks.net

He belongs with Zeitgeist, and rest of the 9/11 conspiracy fools who incidently break bread with trolls like Jeff Rense and other not-so-thinly veiled nazis.
The Donmeh and its modern incarnation of Donmeh-West are spiritual movements and only total idiots would subscribe to the utter drivel ejected by Barry Chamish and the host of conspiracy losers.

I herd they caught Shabtai Tsvi having sex with a man and he said i had to rais the sparks.
Is it a rumor or true???
February 28th, 2008 at 12:29 pm
shachar:
anything you hear from people on this blog barely even qualifies as rumor - it would be conjecture at best
so why would you ask here?
February 28th, 2008 at 12:35 pm
the fact that the rumor exists is informative, regardless of its veracity - a clear conscious effort to disassociate with shabbetai zvi spawned many rumors, some with a basis in reality, others fabrications of the whole cloth
even Sasportas didn’t make very serious allegations until ex post facto
Gershon Scholem has a good book if your really interested, of course, like any historical work, you would have to adjust for his bias
February 28th, 2008 at 1:44 pm
Shachar,
In a footnote in the book Pseudonym mentions, “Sabbatai Sevi: The Mystical Messiah,” Scholem says there is some reason to believe that Sabbatai had anal sex in front of witnesses with an Arab young man while wearing the rosh teffilin and, indeed, claimed it was a Tikkun. (I don’t recall the exact page number of this footnote, but I’m sure Pseudonym does and can possibly share it with us.)
Moreover, Prof. Avraham Elqayam, one of the leading scholars on Sabbatai Zevi , describes Sabbatai’s sexuality as “fluid” in his 1993 doctoral dissertation at http://www.chez.com/jec2/abstheslqayam1.htm. Avi is a good friend, founding member of our Donmeh West, and Professor of Philosophy and Head of the Shlomo Moussaieff Center for Kabbalah Research at Bar Ilan University.
What you must remember is that central to Sabbatianism was the abbrogation of ALL sexual prohibitions — including adultery, homosexuality and even incest — turning them, in fact, from negative to positive commandments.
Sabbatai did this when he publically ate cheleb after blessing it with: “Blessed art Thou, Lord our God, King of the Universe, who makes the forbidden things permissible.”
Another source for all this is the fairly recent and scandalous (at least among the Ma’aminim leaders I know) book by a Turkish Sabbatian (a member of Donmeh West, by the way) Ilgaz Zorlu in which he exposes all the ancient and current sexual rites of the Turkish Ma’aminim.
Zorlu’s book has never been translated from the Turkish, but portions of it were reprinted in “Kabbalah: Journal for the Study of Jewish Mystical Texts,” Daniel Abrams and Avraham Elqayam Editors.

From: Prof. Avraham Elqayam
To: Reb Yakov Leib HaKohain
Dear Yankif
The pleasure is mutual! You know I have always thought very highly of you and your important activities.
I am now in Delphi, celebrating the giving of the Torah with Apolo… I have advanced as far as trying to implement ‘Know Thyself’, although, as a Sabbatean, I’m not sure how convinced I am by ‘Nothing in Excess’!
Sorry about these photos, I’ll send them when I’m back in Israel and can access them.
Many thanks for the very interesting information about the blog and online alternative Jewish activities. I have to admit I haven’t kept very much abreast of online developments recently, so the information is both new and refreshing. Neither have I heard of Jay Michaelson or read anything he had published on Sabbateanism. I take it he did not publish in scholarly outlets.
I have been for some time trying to organise a group of scholars and interested local people to save AMIRA”H’s house and turn it into a museum. I am delighted and grateful for your offer of help. Thank you and be sure I will take you up on this. I am sure your support will prove to be highly valuable.

Subject: Re: IS AMIRAH’S “HOUSE” TO BE TORN DOWN?
My Very Dear Avi,
What a pleasure it is to hear back from you! It’s been too long. Thank you for your kind words about the activities on Donmeh West. I think you how highly I value your opinion. (In passing, the pictures of Amirah’s house somehow didn’t get attached to the email you sent. Could I ask you to send them again? There’s an extraordinary community of young men and women on and off the internet who are anxious to see them.)
The young men and women I just mentioned are the more radical, Sabbatian-prone community of a rather large and growing movement of ex-Haredi who are seriously exploring, living, writing about and sharing with others, via the emerging blog culture, alternative (even antinomian) approaches to Judaism that cut across religious, social, political and economic lines. I can’t tell you what naches and hope they give me. I know I have no direct reason to be, but I’m proud of and love them them in the way a father is proud of and loves his sons and daughters.
The particular, quite revolutionary group I’m especially fond of is called SevenFatCow. They have an important, alternative-Jewish blog — to which, I’m told, at least 1,000 people a day visit — at http://sevenfatcow.wordpress.com/2007/05/18/jay-michaelson-shabsi-tzvis-house-to-be-destroyed/#comment-21769. If you go there, you’ll see an article they recently put up about the impending demolition of the Izmir House. At first, I was less than sanguine about this for the reasons you’ll see that I gave. But having given it more thought, and particularly after reading what you and others have written, I’m feeling much more motivated to save the shrine, if possible.
You’ll notice that one of the editors and founders of the SevenFatCow blog, a brilliant young man who uses the name “Radloh,” expresses the possibility that a consortium of his group, Donmeh West and the editor of Zeek — a really impressive online journal of alternative “Jewish thought and culture” at http://www.zeek.net/ — might get together to save the house. Now that I see you and a group of friends and colleagues are already doing that, I wonder what, if anything, we can do to help.
(By the way, one of the “Cows,” which is what these young friends of mine call themselves, says that the editor of Zeek, Jay Michaelson, is “one of the world’s scholar of Sabbateanism and Frankism in general.” Do you happen to know of him as such? I know him as an impressive writer, teacher and editor of Zeek, but not as a “world scholar of Sabbatianism and Frankism.”)
Again, it’s a joy to be back in correspondence with you. Please, if you can, resend those photos of the Izmir house. And unless there’s some reason not to, let me know how Haluk Bitek is doing. I haven’t heard from him for some time and have been getting worried of late and fear the worst.

That “only total idiots would subscribe to the utter drivel ejected by Barry Chamish and the host of conspiracy losers” is unfortunately not comforting. It seems that people don’t listen critically and some of the crap that crackpots like Chamish throw out gets picked up and ends up as more urban myth.
btw - I was looking for Tzemach’s web site “the most significant jewish blog ever,” but couldn’t find it. It’s amazing that someone who might have created to such a thing could end up making such pathetic comments as he does on this blog. He comes across like a moron. (I don’t think we need another review of definitions - lol.)
neo-Sabbatian from Texas
February 28th, 2008 at 3:15 pm
it all part of a pattern of personal liberation, the question of the veracity of various claims, both by opponents and proponent, is always open - both may cast the same light for different reason, so one is not more credible as a result of being a proponent of shabbetai tzvi and claiming an oral tradition…
(I.E. what repels some, attracts others)
nevertheless, the evidence stacks in favor of there being some actual sexual deviancy - although not in the proportions you may be familiar with from rumors you heard at thursday night kabbalah conversations with the Kohen Gadol and his cronies (or Yhosephus and his merry band)
either way, like i said in another post regarding the baal shem tov, feel free to recreate shabbetai tzvi as you wish, if the past is any basis for the way you live then you must be able to control it by hook or by crook

R’ Yalhak;
Are you not holding that Donme descendants were involved in the Turkish revolution, and the secular illuminated enlightment of the World and it’s Government? That the early Labor Zionists didn’t spend time studying the nature of how to build an anti-nomian national religion in Turkey? I’m curious, because you’re dismissing Hamish’s “findings,” but are you saying that all of Prof. Avraham Ehrlich’s are in question too?
Because I had assumed that there was just different kinds of neo-sabbatean in the world, and some where just more oriented to different means and goals. Why wouldn’t antinomian, anti-religious enlightened people with wealth available make plans to try to change the world? It would be irresponsible not to, no? And historically, why not use tools like Holocausts big and small to do so? Is there a strong ethical undertone in tradtional Sabbatean culture to prevent such a thing?
February 29th, 2008 at 7:21 am
Yoseph Leib,
Of course that’s not what I’m holding. I don’t know how you even got that idea from anything I’ve said here and elsewhere.
There is no question that, to quote Lenowitz, “Sabbaeanism-become-Frankism was one of the most important of the 18th century movements that freed man. The great revolution in consideration, and the French and American revolutions, sprang from its loins.”
What I AM holding, however, and most of the others on this thread seem to have understood, is that contrary to the current wave of crackpot conspiracy theorists there is NO world-wide secret plot among modern-day Sabbatians (among whom, if you read the article by him, Barry Chamish includes myself, John Kerry, both Presidents Bush, John Dean and others) to take over and subjugate the world.

P.S. Now, apart from the fact that you incorrectly assume (God knows from where) that I somehow disagree with the points you raise, I think what you say is very insightful and well justified.
March 1st, 2008 at 1:50 pm
right. I really wish there was a secret Sabbatean conspiracy, and they would hire me to do something useful for them, but alas, I fear if there is, they’re not interested in little useless old me.
I’m bummed out because my proposal for my Cannabis Chassidis book just got turned down by another book agent as unlikely to market well. boo hoo. Oh well, at least my daughter is still cute. I’ve started doing some bathing experimentation with her, and she loves it so much, when she’s submerged to the neck in the warm water, finally stretching her arms and legs out and doing these very coordinated looking wide arm movements. So it’s not all bad.
March 1st, 2008 at 2:15 pm
yoseph leib,
hey, you think YOU’RE bummed out? What about ME?
According to the likes of Barry Chamish, I’m supposed to be in tight with the other Sabbatian conspiritors like the two Bushes, John Kerry, John Dean, etc.
But do you think they ever give me a call? drop me a card? dispatch their limo to get me for our clandestine orgies? send me a nice basket fruit, even? Nooooooo.

Hi Abba and Fat Cows,
I copied and pasted a piece of a tell-ing paragraph. Take a little peek;
” ** Now…. This connection has been documented by numerous writers including Sutton and John Loftus. The Rothschild method was to identify crooked robber barons and promise them total wealth and control, if they follow and promote the illuminati/Sabbatean line. The CFR is the diplomatic arm guiding America and the world into a global satanism. And no matter who the American voter chooses, he gets the CFR and more. If Bush wasn’t elected last time around, Al Gore would have been president. His daughter is married to the grandson of Jacob Schiff, assuredly meaning he is Sabbatean.”
Now I know about the Erev Rav, and the Mixed Multitude; Nefilim, Gibborim, Anakim, Rephaim and Amalekim (one source, Zohar,Littman edition, pg.1470)
I also learned about Aleph-Tav…the Shema, and that Martin Buber said we’re supposed to heal God (simple terminology for my simple mind)…that is the meaning for our own personal Salvation (Primary Point of for our existance)
I don’t think a (real) Israelite (as defined in the Zohar, Check out Abba’s lectures), would try to shove “global satanism” into the minds of the innocent.
I think promoting terror and helplessness is more in line with the Amalekim’s tactics, with the unwitting participation of the rest of the mixed multitude because their #1 aim is self-preservation.
Abba yanked me out of the Abyss, and I ain’t going back!
