Bruno Schultz (I don't know the name of the drawing but here is a post about his art. He a was a great short story writer as well. Died in the holocaust. Cynthia Ozick based her "Messiah of Stockholm" on a character who thinks he is Shultz' son and about his last manuscript for a novel said to be called the Messiah which was lost in the mayhem of WWII but presumably popping up in post war Stockholm. Another twist: Ozick dedicated the novel to Philip Roth who I believe introduced many to Schultz with a translation of his with which he was involved or something.)
