   Yes, in the name of our beloved Motty MAKE THAT PHONE CALL, pick up a phone and call the proper authorities. Don’t let Motty’s death be in vain. Hashem has sent us a message DON’T COVER UP MOLESTATION. This event has shaken klal Yisroel to the core. The yetzer hora sits back and laughs. He laughs that for selfish reasons nobody has the guts to come forth and say what they know. So this will go on and on. Maybe one person who doesn’t have much to lose. Maybe one person who has gone off the derech because they were molested and doesn’t have to worry about shiduchim or being called a mosur by the frum establishment or worry about his kids being thrown out of cheder. The authorities will believe you they won’t be mevaze you, they won’t call you a roshe. And to Mali i repeat the words of Mordechai to Esther “mi yodeya im l’eys k’zos hi’gaat l’malchus” maybe this happened so you can rateve klal yisroel.

   Shitalpin, your parody of the speech is wonderful. I mean not as a compliment from a satirist but in the sincere sense that you have transformed hypocritical drivel into something nobel.

   I am more convinced than ever that you are onto something with your post. I have added on some details to my post based on some emailing I have been doing today.

   thank you for letting me believe there is hope for change. there is no door to knock on. we are the door. I don’t know for sure what happened but that tape told me something’s not right. in mitn shiva? somehow klal yisroel would’ve muddled through for a few more days without shmuel borger’s explanation. that speech was for himself.

   Shitalpin, I am guessing that the charges don’t reflect several hundred kids, but multiple charges from individual kids (like 17 occassions with one child, etc). Still, for every kid who reported there are doubtlessly many more who didn’t. Given his travel business I would not be surprised if he had a photo set up and loads of kiddie porn. If so, the police may just have the goods to find the other kids.

   Satirically speaking, he is ultra-orthodox, the brother of an esteemed Rebbe. He is one of those chassidim who believes in observances that exceed the minimum requirement.

   In truth, it was COVERED UP!!!!!! First the kids are afraid of this big guy who lives on the block and is esteemed. The kids are often too ashamed to tell anyone. But if they do, unless they are lucky they are disbelieved or shut up to avoid scandal. If the adult goes a Rabbi, the guy probably promises to look into it and then deep sixes the story. If he is good guy and cares enough he confronts the abuser and extracts a promise to behave. They may even force the guy out of one shul or school or neighborhood. But, always there is another chance for the molester, just not for the kid. The thing the rabbi will not do is say: go to the police, and I will ask around so we can get some more complainants.

   Even if he does that the parents will not be assured, don’t worry about how this will make you look. I will stake my personal status to uphold yours, no matter what unpleasant details your son has to reveal on the witness stand.

   Now if the rabbi was a real mensch, when the story came out the parents of the boy would deliberately be given honors, aliyot, etc for reporting. The parents and the kid would be thanked for helping to fix this problem.

   If the Rabbi had real gonads and a spine, he would plaster the molesters haunts with posters with his picture and slogans like “The war against Toeivah starts at home,” or “Beware of this Unkosher Jew.”

   Unfortunately this is all fantasy. I hope I have answered your question.

   I wanted to report about a super good guy rabbi but could not find one, so I resorted to fiction to create a fable about Rabbi Besdin which you can find on my blog.

   to be perfectly honest the question about lebovits is who’s bringing the charges now? i spoke to satmar bochurim. everybody knew about him. i was even told he’s “a good guy, he didn’t molest, he just liked teenagers.” there’s a whole gay flesh market in these enclaves that i don’t know if it’s a result of molestation or sexual repression or just homosexual tendencies or all three.
