Not sure that I would characterize the regurgitation of the same materials by the same authors across multiple web sites “corroboration.”

Grammar Girl, most of these websites spoke, independent of each other, to neighbors of the family, people who knew the Borgers for years, and not just recounting rumours, but actual live frum married concerned fathers of children. One of the sources for 7fatcow was a neighbor whose daughter was molested by Motty. This neighbor is/was prepared to speak to mainstream media as well, albeit anonymously. Why anonymously. Well, I will use Grammar Girl as a microcosm for how the molestee is treated in the frum community: you, Grammar Girl, castigated Vicky Polin, when the initial story in the Post first broke, BEFORE the post reported that Mottty told his kallah he was molested,

The day after you wrote that comment the Post confirmed that Vicky was right on target.

There is no more smoking gun. A number of us know the story. The problem is getting folks willing to go public. Motty shared his story in front of several people. He was molested by Baruch Lebovits. The problem is breaking the intimidation. A lot of us are pooling information and cross checking and more details are being filled in. Several reporters are doing their investigative thing. It will take a few more weeks but I will eat my hat if we end the year without confirmation that Lebovits molested Motty. In addition Motty came from a family where dad beat up his wife and molested his daughter(s). As for Motty, I cant say. So even now you get the basic facts that make his suicide plausible. I do update the details on my postings but I wont do a new posting until I have some dramatic new facts.

If you want a story that is happening now it is about how to fix this cesspool of a problem. No sensational free-falls but maybe more important.
